Night attack on Kyiv: most aerial targets were destroyed, fragments of rockets fell in several districts of capital

On the night of May 16, a series of loud explosions rang out in Kyiv. fragments of rockets fell in the Shevchenko, Solomyansky, Darnytsky, and Obolon districts.

"The eighth air attack on Kyiv since the beginning of May! This time, the enemy launched a complex attack from different directions simultaneously, using UAVs, cruise missiles, and, probably, ballistic missiles.
It was exceptional in its density - the maximum number of attacking missiles in the shortest period," the message reads.

According to the KCMA, the vast majority of enemy targets in the airspace of Kyiv were detected and destroyed, the most damage due to falling debris was in the Solomyansk district.

"Preliminarily, the fall of debris was recorded in the Shevchenko, Solomiansky, Darnytsky, Obolon, and Sviatoshynsk districts of the capital. The biggest damage was in the Solomyansky district - there was a fire in a non-residential building and several units of automobile equipment. The fire has been extinguished," Popko said.

The mayor of Kyiv, Vitalii Klitschko, said that according to preliminary information, there were three victims in the Solomiansky district.
