The Hungarian authorities will block the allocation of the next tranche of EU financial assistance to Ukraine in the amount of EUR500 million.

This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Hungary, Peter Szijarto, Censor.NET reports with reference to Interfax-Ukraine.

"It's fair to say, we're running out of patience," Western media quoted the Hungarian minister as saying.

In addition, he stated Budapest's reluctance to support further EU sanctions against the Russian Federation, at the same time pointing to "Kyiv's increasingly aggressive attitude towards its neighbor - the European Union."

Szijjártó also gave examples of Ukraine's policy that cause criticism in Budapest. According to the minister, it is about Kyiv's inclusion of the Hungarian OTP bank in the "black list" of organizations doing business with Russia, as well as about limiting the educational rights of the Hungarian minority in Ukraine.

"I want to make it clear: as long as the OTP is on the list of international sponsors of war, we cannot support decisions that require new economic and financial sacrifices from the EU and its member states. The same applies to sanctions," explained Szijarto.

In addition, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs recalled the publication in the Washington Post: according to the documents of the American intelligence community, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky allegedly put forward the idea of blowing up the Druzhba pipeline, which supplies oil from the Russian Federation to Hungary, the territory of Ukraine.
