There are already positive signals regarding acquisition of modern combat aircraft, - Ihnat

Ukraine’s military may soon receive modern combat aircraft from its Western partners, which will allow the Air Force pilots to perform combat missions even more effectively.
The spokesman for the Air Force Command, Yurii Ihnat, said this on the air of the "Yedyni Novyny" telethon, Censor.NET reports with reference to Suspilne.
"Let's start with our pilots who continue to strike at the enemy, at its radar stations, at air defense systems, at the troop groups that continue to conduct both offensive and defensive actions in the eastern direction. The pilots conducted up to 30 sorties for fire and fighter cover over the past 24 hours and this morning. This is the total," the spokesman said.
According to him, recently there has been hope that Ukrainian pilots will receive modern combat aircraft from their partners.
"There are already positive signals that Soviet technology may soon become history, and we will have a modern aircraft that they will be happy to board. And this inspires them even more. Because even if they give such a result to such equipment, what will happen when the aircraft we all dream of appears?" Yurii Ihnat said.
He added that the statements about the allegedly outdated aircraft that Ukraine could receive from its allies are a Russian information throw-in.
"I want to warn you that in the swamps, in the information dumps, they will shout that this aircraft is outdated, nothing will help, and they said the same about the (anti-aircraft missile system - ed.) Patriot. So we expect it as soon as possible," the official said.
