On the night of 28 May, more than 40 drones were shot down in the skies over Kyiv. Preliminarily, this was the most massive drone attack on the capital since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, namely, with Shahed barrage munitions.

This was announced by the head of the Kyiv Military City Administration Serhii Popko, Censor.NET reports.

"The attack was carried out in several waves, and the air raid lasted more than 5 hours!
According to preliminary data, more than 40 racist drones were destroyed by air defense forces and means in the airspace of Kyiv. (The final data is in the reports of the General Staff and the Air Force.) According to information that is being clarified, the falling debris caused casualties and destruction in different parts of Kyiv," the statement said.

In Holosiivskyi district, the debris hit a 7-story non-residential building, killing one person and hospitalizing another. There was also a fire on the roof of a shopping mall, a fire on the territory of a construction site, and a fire on the territory of an enterprise, warehouses of finished products caught fire, with damage to an area of 1,000 square meters, and one person was injured.
