In Germany, a fire broke out in one of the houses where Ukrainian refugees lived. There are victims of the accident.
According to Censor.NЕТ, this information was published in Facebook by Ambassador of Ukraine to Germany Oleksiy Makeev.
"Dear friends, today I was informed of the sad news that a fire broke out in one of the houses where Ukrainian asylum seekers live in the federal state of Thuringia," the Ambassador said.
According to him, according to preliminary information, there are victims of this incident. However, he explained that he could not disclose details of the incident while the investigation is ongoing.
"Our consuls have been in contact with Ukrainian citizens living in this region since the morning, and they are constantly briefing me, as well as German law enforcement agencies. We are waiting for more information, and then I will provide more details," he added.
Later, the head of the regional interior ministry in Thuringia, Georg Mayer, tweeted that a child had died in the fire.
"A child died today in Apold, who was seeking protection from Putin's bombs with his family," the head said.
He also said that he would do everything possible to find out the cause of the fire.
