Occupiers are trying to take Mariinka at any price, - Defense Forces
Mariinka became a sacred city for the enemy’s plans, which they are trying to capture despite the loss.
Valerii Shershen, the spokesman for the joint press center of the Defense Forces of the Tavria region, said this on the air of the Yedyni Novyny telethon, Censor.NET informs with reference to Ukrinform.
"Since 2014, Mariinka has remained for them a kind of sacred city that they "must" capture. They are trying to take Mariinka at any cost, but our defenders do not give them such an opportunity," the spokesman said.
He said that more than a week ago, Kadyrov's military appeared in this direction.
"The so-called "Akhmat-Sever" replaced the "Storm Z" unit here. The audacious thugs at the beginning, who did not lack motivation, after receiving a decent repulse, quickly lost their promoted fighting spirit and enthusiasm," emphasized Shershen.
According to him, despite the loss, the enemy is still trying to fulfill the task of capturing Mariinka, going to storm the city with the use of heavy equipment.
"The tactics for the most part do not change: if Kadyrov's Rosguards attack from one flank, then from the other - units of the regular Rosarmy," he said.
The spokesman emphasized that the fact that, having suffered losses, they abandon their wounded and retreat without any hesitation is indicative of the moral and psychological state in the ranks of the invaders.
