Russia wants to blow up Zaporizhzhia NPP, - Zelensky

President Volodymyr Zelensky believes that the Russian authorities want to blow up the Zaporizhzhia NPP in order to destabilize Ukraine, as well as for the world to put pressure on Kyiv, demanding an end to this conflict.

As reported by Ukrinform, he stated this in an interview with the American TV channel NBC News, Censor.NET informs with reference to Ukrinform.

"Russia wants to blow up the (Zaporizhzhia. - Ed.) NPP. Because, just like with the (Kakhovka. - Ed.) dam, they are not interested in the security situation in Ukraine. They constantly need destabilization here, and they want the world to put pressure on Ukraine to stop this conflict," the head of state said.

According to Zelensky, the transfer of Western equipment to Ukraine in small batches only prolongs the duration of the Russian-Ukrainian war.

"If military equipment, which is currently on the balance sheet of our partners, is handed over to us en masse, we will win faster," the President added.

It was previously reported that on June 15, the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, began a visit to the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP. Censor.NET also wrote that the Russian occupiers stopped the automatic transmission of data from radiation monitoring sensors at the Zaporizhzhia NPP. This information is now transmitted manually by representatives of the International Nuclear Energy Agency (IAEA).
