The Ukrainian army is advancing despite fierce enemy resistance, so NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg is confident that the command of the Armed Forces is making the right decisions.

This is reported by Censor.NET with reference to Ukrinform.

"We see that Ukraine is moving forward, but the battles are very tough in the face of fierce resistance from the Russians, who have established a good defense. But I am sure that the Ukrainian command is making the right operational decisions," Stoltenberg noted.

He added that Ukraine needs constant support in order to liberate its territory and have better negotiating positions in the future, but NATO is not and will not be a party to the conflict.

Stoltenberg also confirmed the beginning of the training of Ukrainian pilots on 4th generation fighters and thanked the countries that participated in this. He emphasized that this is evidence of NATO's readiness to support Ukraine in the long term. The final decision has not yet been made regarding the terms of the transfer of the aircraft.

As reported, NATO leaders will not invite Ukraine to join the Alliance at the summit in Vilnius in July but claim that the summit's decisions will bring Kyiv closer to membership.
