Captive soldier of 28th Brigade horribly tortured by Russian mercenaries
A volunteer told about terrible tortures of a Ukrainian soldier captured by 'DPR' separatists.
Volunteer Ivanna Kunhina wrote on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.
She told a story of a prisoned soldier called Roman who was captured by the militants on May 31 and exchanged earlier this week. He is nearly dead in intensive care of one of Dnipropetrovsk hospitals, she wrote.
"To put it honestly, Roman is in coma. And you know what good 'DPR' soldiers did to him? Roman had a tattoo with the word Lviv and a trident... They cut the tattoo off alive, broke his legs and hands, and cut his liver... Indeed... Alive... In addition, his intestines were ruptured in several places... He was pricked with a rusty awl... But when the guy lost consciousness, he was taken to a hospital in Donetsk and given glucose to keep him alive because they knew he could be exchanged. He was not given a single dose of antibiotic over 30 days!.. And then the separatists called us and proposed to exchange him for a 'DPR' soldier because glucose is too expensive," she wrote.
"There is a Ukrainian serviceman's body. His wife identified him. But there are signs of torture" - militants are trying to hide traces of maltreatment of prisoners.. AUDIO
Roman is currently suffering from severe sepsis. He is in Mechnikov hospital in Dnipropetrovsk. The doctors did all they could, Ivanna said. The only hope is for God's miracle, she added.
