41 cruise missiles and 2 drones were destroyed, - Zaluzhny

The enemy launched a missile attack on the territory of Ukraine with air-launched cruise missiles from Tu-95ms, Tu-22m3, sea-based "Kalibr" bombers, and Shahed-136/131 attack drones.

This was reported on Facebook by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhny, Censor.NET reports.

According to him, 10 strategic aviation aircraft launched 40 Kh-101/kh-555 cruise missiles from the Caspian Sea.

"Eight Tu-22m3 long-range bombers struck with 9 Kh-22 missiles from the north, south and east. The occupiers launched two Kalibr sea-launched missiles from the Black Sea. From the south, the enemy attacked with two Shahed-136/131 attack drones," the statement said.

The air defence forces shot down all 40 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles, one Kalibr cruise missile and two Shahed-136/131 attack drones.

Units of anti-aircraft missile troops, aviation, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Air Force's "Centre", "South" and "East" air commands were engaged in repelling the air attack. Russian terrorists sent Kh-22 missiles in the direction of Dnipro and Kryvy Rih.

According to the Air Force, on the night of 24 June, the enemy launched a missile attack on the territory of Ukraine with air-launched cruise missiles from Tu-95ms and Tu-22m3 bombers, sea-based Kalibr bombers, and Shahed-136/131 attack drones.

"Strategic aviation aircraft in the number of 10 units launched 40 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles from the Caspian Sea. Eight Tu-22m3 long-range bombers struck with 9 Kh-22 missiles from the northern, southern and eastern directions. From the Black Sea, the occupiers launched two Kalibr sea-launched cruise missiles. From the south, the enemy attacked with two Iranian Shahed-136/131 attack drones, the Air Force said.

As a result of combat operations, the air defence forces shot down all 40 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles, one Kalibr cruise missile and two Shahed-136/131 attack drones.

"Russian terrorists sent Kh-22 missiles in the direction of Dnipro and Kryvy Rih. Local administrations will be informed about the consequences and the victims," the spokesperson added.
