Zelensky won’t go to NATO summit if its leaders lack courage - Deputy Head of OP Zhovkva

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will personally come to Vilnius for the NATO summit only if Ukraine gets a satisfactory result.
This was stated in an interview with Reuters by Ihor Zhovkva, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office, Zelensky's diplomatic adviser, reports Censor.NЕТ with reference to "European truth".
When asked what are the minimum conditions for Zelensky's attendance at the NATO summit, Zhovkva referred to his speech in parliament, where the Ukrainian leader spoke about the importance of courage in the modern world.
"The president will not go... to the summit if leaders are inclined to demonstrate or will demonstrate a lack of courage, while Ukraine is fighting with all the courage, will and strength and high morale against Russian aggression," he said.
He added that there is "no point and no time for the president of Ukraine to go" to the Vilnius summit if there is "no result."
According to Zelensky's advisor, Ukraine is now closer to receiving an invitation than it was "six months ago."
As a reminder, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy understands that Ukraine cannot join NATO during the war, but sees no point in participating in the NATO summit in Vilnius if Ukraine does not receive concrete signals about when it can join the Alliance. Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda, in turn, expects Zelenskyy and the first lady to attend the NATO summit and will be very surprised if this does not happen.
