There is no unanimity among NATO countries on Ukraine’s membership in Alliance during war, - Biden

U.S. President Joe Biden does not yet see a unanimous assessment of Ukraine’s accession to NATO among the Alliance’s allies.
As reports Censor.NЕТ with reference to Іnterfax-Ukraine, he said this in an interview with CNN.
"I don't think there's unanimity in NATO about whether or not to accept Ukraine into the NATO family right now, in the midst of a war," Biden said.
He explained that Ukraine's accession to NATO before the conflict is over would mean that "we are all at war, that we are at war with Russia."
"I think we have to pave a rational path for Ukraine to be able to apply for NATO membership. But for now, I think it's premature to call for a vote, because there are requirements to be met, including democratization and some of these issues," Biden added.
The US president also reiterated that, despite the fact that it is premature to discuss Ukraine's future membership in NATO, the US and its NATO allies will continue to provide Ukraine with the weapons it needs.
Biden explained that the United States is "determined to defend every inch of NATO territory."
