This was stated by the representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine Andriy Yusov on the air Radio NV, reports Censor.NЕТ.
"The situation in Odesa is somewhat different from similar terrorist attacks in other cities, as it involves targeted missile strikes and the destruction of architectural monuments that are part of the UNESCO heritage," Yusov said.
According to him, the strikes on the Transfiguration Cathedral in Odesa were not just a hit and not an accident. The GUR believes that this is a targeted attack, and there is a lot of direct and indirect evidence for this.
As reported, a missile attack on Odesa on July 24 killed 1 person and injured 22, including 4 children. According to the OC "South," the Russians hit the port infrastructure of Odesa, and civilian objects were damaged due to missile misfires. In particular, the Transfiguration Cathedral was destroyed.
According to the Air Force, 9 out of 19 enemy missiles were destroyed during the attack on Odesa region. The mayor's office clarified that more than 40 buildings in the city were damaged as a result of the barbaric nighttime shelling of Odesa.
