Russia may have imitated missile launches from Belarus to drag it into war - DIU

Russia could have imitated missile launches from Belarus as a provocation to draw that country into a war against Ukraine.

As informs Censor.NЕТ, it was mentioned in the commentary to Ukrinform by a representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine Andrii Yusov.

"As for the missiles from Belarus, it was probably an electronic launch or a simulated launch, since Russian troops, forces and means are deployed in this country to carry out various kinds of provocations to drag it into a war against Ukraine," he said.

Yusov explained how the Russians could have resorted to a simulated missile launch.

"Physically, it might not have happened, but everything could have been arranged as if the launches had taken place from the territory of Belarus. The information is being checked," the DIU representative added.
