Ihnat about latest air attacks of enemy: Main direction is Khmelnytsky. Vast majority of missiles were destroyed by air defense
Most of the missiles that attacked Ukraine at night were shot down over Khmelnytsky.
The spokesman of the Air Force Yurii Ihnat announced this on the air of the telethon, Censor.NET informs.
According to him, the main target of the enemy was probably the Starokostiantyniv airfield.
"The rockets flew from the direction of the Black Sea, from the Caspian Sea from TU-95 aircraft and, previously, from the Tambov region," Air Force spokesman Yurii Ihnat said.
As reported, from the evening of August 5 to the morning of August 6, 2023, the Russian invaders launched a massive missile attack on the territory of Ukraine with air and sea-based missiles, as well as Iranian attack drones "Shahed-136/131". Air defense forces destroyed 30 cruise missiles and 27 attack drones.
As noted, the Air Force of Ukraine reported on the evening of August 5 about the launch of "Kinzhal" ballistic missiles in the direction of the city of Starokostyantiniv, Khmelnytsky region.
