Lukashenko instructed to restore relations with Poland

Oleksandr Lukashenko, who seized power in Belarus, said that he instructed the prime minister to restore relations with Poland.
This is reported by Censor.NET with reference to Lukashenko's press service.
"Now we live primarily at the expense of the East - cooperation with Russia and China. But we must not forget about the high-tech West. They are nearby, they are our neighbors - the European Union. And we cannot lose relations with them. We are ready for this, but taking into account our own interests. Believe me, the time will come (now there is such turbulence, in your language, the difficulties are great) - in 2024-2025, I am sure, there will be serious changes in the world in particular," he said.
Lukashenko also said that it is necessary to talk with the Poles.
"And we need to talk to the Poles. I instructed the Prime Minister to contact them. If they want, let's talk, let's build relations. We are neighbors, and neighbors are not chosen, they are from God. But they have parliamentary elections on October 15 and , of course, they need to incite now, incite the situation in order to show that they have correctly armed and rearmed the country. Therefore, until October 15, they are unlikely to make any significant changes that are beneficial to them and to us. They demand a lot from us and they are asking, but we cannot do it, because it is against our interests," added Lukashenko.
At the same time, he accused the USA of allegedly inciting Poland to such incitement.
"The Americans bet on Poland. But the Poles are not stupid people. They are our people, the Slavs. They understand everything perfectly. Let's be patient and see. We are open to cooperation," Lukashenko said.
