Russians used new long-range Italmas drones first time, - ISW

During the drone attack on the Kyiv region, the Russian invaders used new long-range Italmas drones and their derivatives for the first time in Ukraine.

This is reported by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), Censor.NET informs.

Russian propagandists have claimed that Italmas drones are lighter than Shahed drones and harder to detect and shoot down. They are also cheaper than Shahed, which means they can be produced and used in greater numbers.

However, as ISW points out, drones provide a lighter payload, which limits their usefulness on their own. The occupiers are likely to use Italmas drones in tandem with Shaheds.
