Former Wagnerians are being recruited to Chechen units, - ISW
The Russian Guard is recruiting former fighters of the private military company "Wagner" to the Chechen units of the "Akhmat" special forces.
This is stated in the analytical report of the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), Censor.NET informs.
ISW analysts believe that "The former forces of the "Wagner" PMC, fragmented between the Chechen units of the Russian Ministry of Defense and the Roshvardya in different areas of the front, are unlikely to become an effective military organization again."
This is due to the lack of strength that the PMC drew from a unitary organization under clear and consistent management. At the same time, analysts do not rule out that in some circumstances, former mercenaries can somewhat strengthen the tactical abilities of the units to which they belong.
