Military censorship is being strengthened in Russian universities, - British intelligence

Another confirmation of the strengthening of military censorship was found in higher educational institutions of the Russian Federation.

This is stated in the Sunday review of the Ministry of Defense of Great Britain, Censor.NET informs.

"In mid-October, the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation instructed universities to avoid open discussion of any "negative political, economic and social trends" in Russia during scientific and educational activities," the review says.

Analysts note that this is a further limitation of the information space in wartime Russia, making it difficult to openly discuss political issues.

In the long term, this step will continue the trend of forming Russian policy in the echo chamber of politically acceptable, pro-Kremlin perspectives.

"The Kremlin likely wants to continue suppressing the negative prospects of a "special military operation" on the eve of the expected re-election of President Vladimir Putin for a new term in March 2024," the review concludes.
