Mobile fire groups are forced step to protect infrastructure - Ihnat

The number of mobile fire groups counteracting Russian drones will increase. Their use is a necessary step in protecting critical infrastructure.
Yurii Ihnat, spokesman for the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said this during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine, Censor.NET reports with reference to ZN.ua.
According to him, since the radius of mobile fire groups is small, various methods are being found to improve their work, including additional equipment or vehicles that will allow them to move quickly and take an advantageous position from which they can more effectively repel the attack of Russian UAVs. Ihnat stressed that it would be better to have a sufficient number of electronic warfare systems that will land drones without firing a single shot
"Large air defense should protect strategic facilities of the state and focus on longer distances. Mobile fire groups are the forced step that the military leadership is forced to take in order to protect military or infrastructure facilities on the ground, where the enemy can potentially aim," he said.
The day before, Ihnat stressed that the Defense Forces should prepare for certain risks of strikes on various objects, as the Russian occupation forces are accumulating missiles for massive attacks.
