F-16 planes will seriously change course of war in Ukraine, - Ihnat
The Ukrainian side does not agree with the statements of some partners that the F-16 fighters will allegedly not be able to change the course of the war in Ukraine.
This was stated by the spokesman of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Yurii Ihnat, on the air of the telethon, Censor.NET informs with reference to RBC-Ukraine.
"I would like to argue with all the critics of this question about airplanes. Airplanes will change the course of the war, and they will change it very seriously. The question is that these aircraft do not have tactical and technical characteristics significantly weaker than Russian ones. We need modern aircraft that can win air superiority," said the Air Force spokesman.
Ignat explained that the F-16 fighter is suitable for Ukraine, as it can strike ground, surface, and air targets, as well as protect the sky from missiles and drones.
"I think that such aviation complexes and a multi-purpose aircraft are an aviation complex, will solve several tasks and will be able to significantly influence the course of the war," he added.
According to Ignat, the F-16 will be able to outplay Russian aviation and cover ground troops from the air.
