The former head of the National Police Property Management Department Naumov after his release drives elite cars and builds a cottage town - media. VIDEO

The former head of the National Police Property Management Department, Ivan Naumov, continues to buy expensive cars and other assets that do not correspond to his official income even after his dismissal.

This is stated in an investigation by Bihus.Info, Censor.NET reports.

In 2020, Naumov was fired from the National Police after a media investigation into the operation of his family's recreation complex during the quarantine.

"However, the police officer's release seems to have had a positive impact on his family's financial situation. In May 2022, a new construction project started next to the fence of the recreation complex. This is the elite cottage community NAVY Village, where a hotel complex, a spa, a yacht pier, and 75 new cottages are to be built on 20 hectares of land on the coast of the bypass canal in the Vyshhorod district of Kyiv. The latter have now appeared on the open market, with prices ranging from UAH 12 to 23 million," the investigation says.

Naumov also continues to use luxury cars. A few months ago, he received a power of attorney to use a 2021 Aston Martin DBX. This is one of the most expensive cars you can buy in Ukraine. Its price now starts at UAH 6 million, and there are only a few dozen such cars in the whole country. The car is owned by Oleh Koshel, a long-time friend and associate of Ivan Naumov, whose other car Naumov used while working at the National Police.

"Despite the fact that the expensive car was bought in the spring of 2023, it was recently put up for sale. The published photos from the advert show the courtyard of Ivan Naumov's house, and one of the photos shows the geolocation of the car, which coincides with the same house," the journalists note.

Naumov stated that the car did not belong to him.

"In addition, journalists noticed that Naumov also regularly uses a 2020 Mercedes Benz GLC 43. Such a car now costs about $60,000. The car is registered in the name of the former police officer's ex-wife. Another car belongs to Mykola Naumov, the son of a former head of the National Police Property Management Department. In 2021, the young man bought a 2019 Tesla model 3, which costs an average of $25,000 to $30,000. Mykola himself is currently studying in the United States," the article says.

According to journalists, the income of Ivan Naumov himself, his son and his friend Oleg Koshel in recent years is not commensurate with the expenses and assets acquired. Naumov did not explain to journalists the origin of his wealth, calling himself an ordinary pensioner looking for opportunities to earn money.
