The Kyiv police received a report from a lawyer that for two days his client, a member of parliament previously detained by the SSU on suspicion of high treason, had been inflicted with bodily harm while in a pre-trial detention centre.

This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the Communications Department of the National Police of Kyiv.

As noted, an investigative team of the Kyiv police arrived at the penitentiary institution to clarify the circumstances of the incident.

"Based on the results of the inspection and forensic examination, the information contained in the report was not confirmed," the statement said.

As reported, MP Dubinsky said that he had been injured in the pre-trial detention center

As a reminder, on 13 November, the SSU served MP Dubinsky with a notice of suspicion of high treason. He was arrested for 2 months without bail.

Earlier it was reported that Dubinsky, under the pretext of accompanying his sick father, had traveled abroad and is currently holidaying in Barcelona with his girlfriend.

On 3 July, the SSU searched Dubinsky's home. The next day, he stated that a draft interrogation report on the Derkach case, in which he allegedly cited the facts of the involvement of the President's Office in this treason, had been seized from him.

Dubinsky was also served a notice of suspicion of organizing a scheme to allow fugitives to travel abroad.
