Last December, the Russians were more active at sea, now they are probably waiting for frost and stockpiling missiles.

Natalia Humeniuk, the spokeswoman of the joint coordination press center of the Southern Defense Forces, reported this on the air of the telethon, Censor.NET informs with reference to Ukrinform.

"They were a little bit more active at sea last December. But they can just build up that potential and use their missiles even from the range they're pushed back to now. Because Kalibr missiles can be launched from a sea base at a distance of 2.5 thousand kilometers," Humenyuk said.

According to her, the Ukrainian military does not observe enemy missile-carrying ships while on combat duty.

"But I will remind you that they are equipped, ready, and being at the base points, can be used. The enemy has already carried out this practice... It is quite likely that they expect the frost to intensify," the spokeswoman believes.

Humeniuk said that there is actually 1 ship on duty in Azov, which exposes the surface situation.

"In the Black Sea, this is usually patrolling along the coast. Moreover, the enemy ships are quite significantly pressed precisely to historical Russia, to those shores, tending to Novorossiysk. They don't dare to go to the area they used to patrol, further north, west," she informed.
