Cabinet of Ministers has ordered to review system of teachers’ salaries
The Cabinet of Ministers has instructed the Ministry of Education and Science to conduct a "comprehensive review of the system of remuneration of pedagogical and scientific-pedagogical workers" in 2024.
This is reported in the government's resolution No. 1381 of December 27, Censor.NET reports with reference to LigaBusinessInform.
It should take into account the provisions of Article 61 of the Law "On Education", which stipulates that the lowest official salary of a pedagogical employee is set at three minimum wages.
The Ministry was also instructed to review the system of allowances, additional payments and other payments to ensure transparency, predictability and fairness of salary formation.
By the same decree, the government froze for the fifth year in a row the effect of Decree No. 822 on raising teachers' salaries to four subsistence minimums.
