Poland places air defense forces on high alert
Poland has placed its air defense forces on high alert. This happened after an "unknown object" flew over the country’s territory from Ukraine on the morning of December 29.
According to Censor.NET, with reference to European Pravda, this was stated by the spokesman for the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces, Jacek Goryshevsky, as quoted by Polsat News.
"In order to ensure the safety of our airspace ... the combat readiness of our air defense assets, as well as the next pairs of fighter jets, has been increased," he said.
According to him, the search for the object continues. Work is also underway to establish the causes of the airspace incurrence and determine the trajectory of the object.
"It is now known that Polish airspace was incurred in the morning. The operational command has followed all procedures, and all persons who should be informed are aware of this fact," added Goryshevsky.
As a reminder, an "unknown object" was recorded in Poland that flew into the country from Ukraine during a massive Russian missile attack.
