On October 31, 2023, the UNIFIER Leopard Training Element (LTE) operation ended in southwestern Poland.
The CAF notes that the Ukrainian military was highly motivated and enthusiastic about the training. They gained all the knowledge they needed to use tanks on the battlefield.
"The drivers gained skills in maintenance and practice driving sixty-ton tanks, while their three crewmates gained skills in firing, moving from tank firing theory to practical exercises and simulator training before proving their abilities on the range," the armed forces said.
"I am very impressed with the armor training here in Poland. The training is extremely effective, and the instructors are true masters of their craft. Everything they have taught us is essential and we will use it in combat. The CAF instructors are very professional, good people who really wanted to teach us something," said one of the Ukrainian tankers, with pseudonym "Koval".
