Ukraine invites Xi Jinping to planned peace summit in Switzerland – OP

Ukraine invited Chinese President Xi Jinping to participate in a peace summit of leaders, which Switzerland agreed to host.
According to Censor.NET, this was reported by Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Ihor Zhovkva in a commentary to Reuters.
"We definitely invite China to participate in the summit at the highest level, at the level of the President of the People's Republic of China," he said.
According to him, China's participation in the peace summit will be very important for Ukraine.
"We are working with the Chinese side. We are engaging our partners in the world to convey to the Chinese side how important it is to participate in such a summit," he added.
Neutral Switzerland has agreed to host a peace summit on Ukraine at the request of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, but the date and venue have not yet been determined.
Zhovkva added that the teams of the two countries are still working on the details.
What is known about the global "peace summit"
During his speech at the G20 summit in November 2022, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy proposed a peace formula to stop a full-scale Russian invasion.
On January 15, Switzerland announced that it wants to hold a global peace conference on Ukraine.
Switzerland has chosen Geneva as the venue for a planned global summit on Ukraine's proposed Formula for Peace.
