Ukraine may consider inviting Russian representatives to second peace summit – Yermak

Єрмак заявив про можливість запрошення РФ на дрігий глобальний саміт миру

Ukraine is ready to consider inviting Russian representatives to the second peace summit. The first one will be held without a Russian delegation

This was stated by the head of the President's Office, Andrii Yermak, at a press conference with the foreign ministers of Ukraine and Hungary in Uzhhorod, Censor.NET reports with reference to Evropean Pravda.

"We are ready to hear everyone. We have not only our partners from NATO and the EU, but also countries from the Global South sitting at the table," Yermak said.

However, he noted that a joint plan should be created first, and only after that we can think about talking to Russia.

"I want to repeat the logic of the 'peace formula': the first meeting, the first summit at the level of leaders, is without Russia's participation. Then we open up the possibility of holding separate meetings, conferences, events at different levels on all nine of the ten points to develop a plan," the head of the Presidential Office explained.

And at the second summit at the level of leaders, when the plan is ready, we are ready to consider inviting representatives of Russia," he added.

However, according to Yermak, to participate in these conversations, Russia must have the political will for peace.

Global Peace Summit:

Earlier, it was reported that Switzerland wants to host the first global peace conference on Ukraine.
Afterwards, Swiss President Viola Amherd said that such a summit would not be complete without Russia's participation.
