For first time, F-16 was not discussed at Ramstein meeting, as all decisions have already been made - Defense Ministry

Ілларіон Павлюк

The 19th meeting in the Ramstein format did not discuss the issue of F-16 fighter jets for Ukraine, as all decisions have already been made.

This was stated by Defense Ministry spokesman Illarion Pavliuk during a national telethon, Censor.NET reports citing LigaBusinessInform.

"Everything is very simple with the F-16, all decisions have already been made. There is nothing left to be discussed. The decisions have been made, we are be on schedule," he said.

According to Pavliuk, Ukraine has an understanding of the deadlines and what needs to be done within them. We are talking about training pilots, engineers, infrastructure, etc.

At the same time, the spokesman added that for security reasons, Ukraine will not officially announce the delivery of aircraft from the allies.

"As soon as we know the exact date, we will never tell anyone. After all, the enemy is guided, among other things, by information from open sources. Therefore, everything is fine with the F-16. We all hope that the F-16s will be in Ukraine as soon as possible. But we all understand that they should arrive when we are ready to use and maintain them effectively," he summarized.
