Slovenia to join Czech initiative to purchase ammunition for Ukraine

Slovenia declared its readiness to help Ukraine and joined the Czech Republic’s initiative to search for and purchase artillery ammunition.
According to Censor.NET, this was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to České noviny.
This was stated by Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky. However, he did not indicate how much Slovenia would contribute to the purchase of shells.
It is noted that earlier Slovenian media reported that the country could allocate 1 million euros for these needs.
Czech initiative to purchase 800,000 rounds of ammunition for Ukraine
Earlier, Czech Prime Minister Fiala said that 15 countries were ready to join the initiative to purchase ammunition for Ukraine outside Europe. Subsequently, several more countries joined the initiative. Czech President Petr Pavel confirmed that Ukraine's allies had transferred the entire amount of money needed to provide Ukraine with 800,000 artillery shells. Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal expects that Ukraine may receive the first batch of these shells in April.
