Ukrainian representatives of team responsible for establishment of NATO-Ukraine Centre (JATEC) have been agreed upon - Ministry of Defence

Representatives of the Ministry of Defence, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and other defence forces, in cooperation with the office of the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olha Stefanishyna, have agreed on the composition of the JATEC project implementation team and are preparing a roadmap for its launch.
This was reported by the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, Censor.NET reports.
"The JATEC project is an extremely important element of Ukraine's integration into NATO. It will allow us to unify our approaches, in particular, in analytical activities in order to increase the effectiveness of our joint work," said Deputy Defence Minister Stanislav Haider.
The decision to launch the JATEC (NATO-Ukraine Joint Analysis, Training and Education Centre) was made in February this year following a meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council at the level of defence ministers.
The Centre will be the first joint institution in the history of relations between Ukraine and the Alliance. The purpose of the Joint NATO-Ukraine Centre is to build the capabilities of the Ukrainian Defence Forces, analyse the experience of the Russian-Ukrainian war, achieve interoperability between Ukraine and NATO, and promote institutional development.
The next JATEC meeting is scheduled to take place on 15-19 April 2024, also in Poland. It is expected to result in the development of the final model and structure of the Centre, its tasks and legal form together with NATO partners.
JATEC's short-term work plans include the creation of joint roadmaps with NATO for the Washington Summit (July 2024) and the organisation of events to launch the Centre's practical activities.
