"Servant of people" Dmytruk cooperates with UOC-MP priest Chertylin, who is suspected of treason - media. VIDEO

MP Artem Dmytruk, elected from the "Servant of the People" party (now unaffiliated), cooperates with UOC-MP priest Serhiy Chertylin, who is suspected of 5 crimes against Ukraine.

This is stated in an investigation by Bihus.Info, Censor.NET reports.

The journalists received access to the correspondence of a large FSS network in Ukraine exposed by the SSU. The network included priests of the UOC-MP. Dmytruk's name appears in the correspondence.

The journalists cite a screenshot of the correspondence in which the suspect Chertylin reports back after a meeting with Dmytruk. The latter, he says, is ready for full cooperation and thanks for the legal analysis of Law 8371 (on the activities of religious organisations - Ed.), which he managed to convince some MPs about.

Dmytruk confirmed to journalists that he had met to discuss the "protection" of the UOC-MP in Ukraine.

"Of course we met, of course we talked. Did they talk about the pressure on the UOC? Of course, we did. Did they formulate the relevant amendments? Well, let's just say they did not, but they discussed them. But every day we can see how representatives of the OCU take away churches, beat priests, beat parishioners and commit other illegal actions against citizens," Dmytruk said.

In another chat, Chertylin, a suspect in high treason, mentions the name Kultenko. This person is allegedly being handed over amendments to the law on the Moscow church in Ukraine.

According to Bihus.Info, this is a seminarian of the Kyiv Theological Academy of the Moscow Patriarchate and MP from the "Servant of the People" party, Artem Kultenko.

Dmytruk and Kultenko did not vote for the ban on the Russian church in the first reading. In addition, they both publicly support the Russian Patriarchate in Ukraine.

Who is Artem Dmytruk?

Dmytruk is known for several scandals. He was one of the three "anti-vaccinationists" named by the head of the Servant faction, David Arakhamia. Dmytruk was expelled from the "Servant of the People" faction in November 2021.

In February 2024, Dmytruk posted bail for Pavlo Muzychuk, a monk of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra and a hierodeacon of the UOC-MP, who was detained by the Security Service of Ukraine on suspicion of justifying and recognising the legitimacy of Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine.

On 12 March 2024, the SSU neutralised in Kyiv a criminal organisation of the so-called media bloc of the UOC-MP that incited religious hatred. In particular, it detained the head of the organisation, who was a member of the Russian secret service's intelligence apparatus. According to media reports, it was Chertylin.
