Fighting continues in areas of Vovchansk, Novooleksandrivka, Novoselivka Persha, Vozdvyzhenka, Prohres and Krasnohorivka - General Staff
Since the beginning of the day, 20 July 2024, 85 combat engagements have taken place at the frontline. Our defenders are stopping the enemy, holding the line and destroying the Russians' plans. At the same time, the occupiers continue to be active in the Pokrovsk direction.

As noted, the Russian aggressor continues to hit the Kharkiv region with guided aerial bombs from its territory. From the direction of Belgorod, the enemy conducted airstrikes near Lyptsi, Kozacha Lopana, and Borshchova.
Situation in the Kharkiv region
In the Kharkiv direction, two attacks near Hlyboke were repelled, and a battle is ongoing in the area of Vovchansk.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy tried unsuccessfully to advance towards our positions in the vicinity of Hlushkivka and Petropavlivka throughout the day. Three enemy attacks are still ongoing near Stelmakhivka, Makiivka, and Pishchane. Near the latter, as well as in the vicinity of Kolisnykivka, the occupiers dropped aerial bombs, a total of four KABs.
Situation in the East
According to the General Staff, the enemy increased the number of attacks to six in the Lyman direction. Fighting continues near Nevske, Makiivka and in the direction of Lozova.
In the Siversk direction, the enemy tried to break through our defences eight times in the areas of Vyimka, Spirne, Pereiizne, and Verkhnekamianske. Two firefights are still ongoing. The situation is under control.
"In the Kramatorsk sector, our defenders continue to repel two enemy attacks in the vicinity of Klishchiyivka and Kalynivka. The total number of enemy assault attempts in the sector increased to six today.
In the Toretsk direction, four hostile attacks took place near Zalizne, where the enemy is still attacking, and New York. The occupiers also bombed Pivnichne, Diliivka, and Toretsk," the statement said.
The General Staff also informs that the enemy is currently most active in the Pokrovsk direction. 32 times today there were clashes of varying intensity. Fighting is currently ongoing in the areas of Novooleksandrivka, Novoselivka Persha, Vozdvyzhenka and Prohres. During the day, the occupants' aviation was firing at Vovche and Tymofiivka with KABs. In addition, the terrorists carried out three air strikes with NARs near Oleksandropol.
It is also noted that fighting continues in the Kurakhove direction, in two locations near Krasnohorivka. Our troops successfully repelled six more attacks - the enemy suffered losses near Heorhiivka, Paraskoviivka, and Kostiantynivka.
Situation in the South
In the Vremivka direction, the aggressor made four assaults on our positions near Kostiantynivka and Staromaiorske. Enemy attack aircraft struck with NARs near Urozhaine.
In the Orikhiv direction, three combat engagements took place in the areas of Mala Tokmachka and Novodanilivka. The enemy launched more than fifty unguided aerial missiles towards Kamianske and Lobkove.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, our defenders repelled four enemy attacks in the vicinity of Krynky.
Ukrainian troops are in control of the situation and are depleting the enemy along the entire frontline.
