ASTRA has found out that the explosion in northern Moscow took place in a Toyota Land Cruiser owned by Andrey Torgashov, deputy head of the PDRC of military unit 33790 in the Moscow region.

According to publicly available data, military unit 33790 is the 89th satellite communications center of the Russian Armed Forces.

According to the Russian media, the explosion was caused by the detonation of an explosive device that was installed on the car.

The Russian Interior Ministry reported that the explosive device had been placed on the car earlier. Torhashov's legs were blown off. His wife, Maya, is also likely to have been wounded.
