Since the beginning of the day on Saturday, 12 October, as of 16:00, 94 combat engagements have taken place at the frontline. Most of the fighting was recorded in the Kurakhove sector.
This is stated in the report of the General Staff, according to Censor.NET.
Enemy shelling
Today, enemy artillery and mortar fire in the Chernihiv and Sumy regions affected, in particular, the communities of Chernatske, Klyusy, Hremyach, and Obody. Air strikes were carried out in the areas of the settlements of Riky, Katerynivka, Buniakyne, Volfyne, Budky, Shalyhino in the Sumy region, Kupiansk-Vuzlovy, Podoly, Kivsharivka, Kruhliakivka, Pershotravneve in the Kharkiv region, Torske, Yurivka, Toretsk, Petrivka, Myrnohrad, Selidove, Rivne in Donetsk region; the regional centre and Mala Tokmachka in the Zaporizhzhia region; Lviv, Poniativka in the Kherson region.
Hostilities in the Kharkiv region
In the Kupiansk direction, Russian occupants conducted ten offensives near Petropavlivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Lozova, Pishchane, Vyshneve, and Miasozharivka since the beginning of the day. Seven firefights are still ongoing.
Hostilities in Donbas
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 11 times near Novomykhailivka, Hrekivka, Nevske, Novosadove, and Torske. The situation is under control.
In the Siversk direction, Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled three attempts by the aggressor to advance near Verkhnekamianske, Ivan-Dariivka, and Vyimka. Two battles in the area are still ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk direction, eight firefights took place in the areas of Kalynivka, Chasiv Yar, and Stupochky.
In the Toretsk sector, the occupiers, with the support of bomber aircraft, tried nine times to force Ukrainian troops out of their positions in the areas of Toretsk and Petrivka. They were fiercely rebuffed.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy carried out 14 assault operations in the areas of Myroliubivka, Lysivka, Krutyi Yar, and Mykhailivka. Ukraine's defence forces are holding back the Russian offensive and repelled 13 attacks, with one more battle still ongoing near Selydove.
In the Kurakhivka direction, the invaders attacked 32 times in the direction of Izmailivka, Hirnyk, Kurakhivka, Zhelanne Druhe, Tsukuryno, Novodmytrivka, Novoselydivka, Heorhiivka, Kostiantynivka and Antonivka. Half of the occupants' attempts to advance have already been repelled. The fighting continues, with the hottest spots near Katerynivka.
In the Vremivka direction, the enemy stormed Ukrainian positions near Bohoyavlenka once in vain.
Combat actions in the south
In the Orikhiv direction, one enemy attack was repelled in the vicinity of Robotyne.
The situation in other sectors remained unchanged.
