Zelenskyy: Sanctions against Russia will increase, but they do not have effect that Europe expected - Zelenskyy

Зеленський заявив, що санкції проти РФ збільшуватимуться

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that sanctions against Russia will increase, but their effect is not what Europe expected.

This is reported by Censor.NET with reference to Interfax-Ukraine.

"The British have imposed important sanctions that we asked them to impose. The sanctions will increase. However, we have raised the issue that the sanctions are not having the effect that Europe expected. Because they did not fully implement them themselves. This is a real loss, I believe, if not of two years, then of a year for sure. A year ago, Russia was supposed to be in the state it should be in next year," the head of state explained.

Zelenskyy compared Russia to the Titanic, as its economy will begin to sink, but it will do so slowly.

"It is very important for us that after the end of this war, they cannot recover in a month. And so that no unhealthy thoughts appear, even years later," he summarized.
