United States announces new sanctions against intermediaries supplying Russia with resources for army

The United States of America is preparing a new package of sanctions against countries that help Russia's military machine.

This was stated by US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, Censor.NET reports.

Yellen said that the United States "will unveil tough new sanctions aimed at those who assist the Kremlin's war machine, including intermediaries in third countries that supply Russia with critical resources for its army."

The minister added that the sanctions would be announced next week.

According to Bloomberg, the US will also take additional measures aimed at the Russian energy sector and banks.
