Armed forces of Great Britain are not ready for war - Defense Minister Healey

The UK Army is not ready to fight a war and should be more effective if necessary to deter aggression against NATO.
As Censor.NET informs with reference to The Independent, this was stated by the Minister of Defense of Great Britain, John Healey.
The publication notes that Healey admitted that the British army is ready to conduct "military operations", but not for battles.
"The UK, like many other countries, has essentially become very experienced and prepared for military operations. What we have not been prepared for is for combat. If we are not prepared for combat, we cannot deter. That is the basis of the thinking NATO. We must not only be able to defend our NATO countries, but more importantly, we must be more effective in the deterrence we provide against any future aggression," the minister said.
He said the state of the armed forces was "much worse than we thought" after Labor came to power in July.
It will be recalled that the German commander of the regional command "Hamburg", captain of the navy Michael Hiss, said that the whole of Germany should be prepared for a potential military conflict in 5 years.
