Putin’s statement on encirclement of AFU in Kursk region is outright disinformation - Syrskyi

Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi denied Putin's statement about the alleged encirclement of the Ukrainian Defence Forces in Kursk region.
He said this in Telegram, Censor.NET reports.
"The statement made by the head of the aggressor country at the BRICS summit regarding the encirclement of Ukrainian troops in the Kursk region is not true. This is outright disinformation that does not reflect the real situation," he stressed.
Syrskyi said that since 8 August, when the operation in Kursk region had begun, Russian troops have lost 17,819 personnel.
Of these, 6662 were irretrievable, 10446 were sanitary, and 711 were prisoners of war.
Russian troops also lost 45 tanks, 256 armoured combat vehicles, 565 vehicles, 99 artillery systems and 5 multiple launch rocket systems.
