In October, Russian army suffered largest monthly losses since beginning of full-scale invasion of Ukraine - commander of British army Radakin

In October 2024, Russian troops lost an average of about 1,500 killed and wounded daily, and their total losses since February 2022 are approaching 700,000.
According to Censor.NET, this was stated by the Commander of the British Armed Forces, Admiral Sir Tony Radakin, in an interview with the BBC.
He emphasized that the Russian people are paying an "extraordinary price" for the invasion of Ukraine.
"Russia is about to lose 700,000 people killed and wounded - this is the enormous pain and suffering that the Russian people are forced to endure because of Putin's ambitions," the British Army commander said.
In addition, Radakin emphasized that Russia spends more than 40% of its government spending on defense and security. This is a "huge expense" for the country.
"There is no doubt that Russia is gaining tactical, territorial benefits, and this puts pressure on Ukraine," Radakin admitted.
However, he added that significant Russian losses were incurred "for a tiny piece of land."
As a reminder, according to the General Staff, Russian casualties as of November 10 amount to about 708,890 people.
