Everyone wants peace, the only question is on what terms. There are things more important than peace, - Sikorski
In discussions about ending the war in Ukraine, it is important to remember that the conditions for this potential peace are more important than just the cessation of hostilities.
According to Censor.NET, this was stated by Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski on RMF24.
"Everyone wants peace, the only question is under what conditions. There are things more important than peace. Ukraine is fighting for freedom, for the right to be a state, to have no concentration camps, to have their children not stolen or Russified," Sikorski said.
He added that the priorities of the Polish side today are to understand whether the largest EU countries are ready to find funds to purchase ammunition and invest in the Ukrainian defence sector so that Ukraine can strengthen its negotiating position.
Earlier, Sikorski said that the European Union had done much more than could be expected to support Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression.
