Today, November 20, 2024, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a telephone conversation with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

Zelenskyy announced this on Telegram channel, Censor.NET reports.

According to him, he thanked the Polish people for their solidarity with Ukraine from the first days of the full-scale invasion and the Prime Minister for his personal principled response to the latest Russian shelling and attempts to end the political isolation of Russian dictator Putin.

They also discussed continued defense cooperation.

"Mr. Prime Minister informed us that his country is preparing the 45th support package for transfer and has already started working on the next defense package. We shared our expectations from Poland's presidency of the EU Council in the first half of next year. I hope for Poland's support in the negotiation process with the EU on the opening of the first cluster of negotiations and the parallel opening of other clusters," Zelenskyy emphasized.

He also thanked Donald Tusk for using his extensive personal contacts to advocate for Ukraine's accession to NATO and continued defense support for Ukraine.

"We agreed to hold a meeting by the end of this year," Zelenskyy summarized.
