Zelenskyy comments on Russia’s updated nuclear doctrine: World must put firm response on table

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on the update of the nuclear doctrine in the Russian Federation.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to Interfax-Ukraine.
"Today they presented an updated nuclear doctrine. Why didn't they present a peace strategy? Have you heard of it? Of course not. They have a nuclear weapons strategy," the president said at a press conference with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen in Kyiv.
Zelenskyy emphasized that Putin wants to continue the war and wants to destroy Ukraine, "and not only it, but also other countries."
"Putin wants a war. As long as possible. The longer the war lasts, the longer he will be in the Kremlin. This is clear. This is his goal: to destroy us, all of us. All our principles and values. When they attack, even in the media, with words about nuclear weapons and strategy, I think the G20 is sitting in Brazil today. Did they say anything? No, they didn't. Nothing strong. This is the answer," the Ukrainian president said.
He also added: "What kind of strategy can there be if even the G20 countries don't have any strong strategy?"
"Our strategy is to be strong. And when Putin is just starting to talk about nuclear weapons, the world has to respond. Put it on the table. A firm answer as to what will be done if Putin uses something like this weapon or another," Zelenskyy said.
Earlier on Tuesday, it became known that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin had signed an updated nuclear doctrine, which expanded the conditions for the use of Russian nuclear weapons.
