Italy will not send its soldiers to fight in Ukraine, - Foreign Minister Tajani

таяні відкинув ідею відправлення Італією своїх військових до України

Italy will not send its soldiers to fight in Ukraine.

A statement to this effect was made by Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani at a meeting of G7 foreign ministers, ANSA reports, Censor.NET informs.

"We are helping Kyiv politically, financially and militarily by sending aid, but we will not send soldiers to fight in Ukraine," the Italian foreign minister said.

The diplomat stressed the need to avoid escalation.

"We have to avoid escalation, Russia is taking on a serious responsibility by involving North Korean soldiers in the war and recruiting Houthis and Iranian proxies," Tajani said.

Tajani's statement comes amid recent reports that Europe is once again discussing sending troops to Ukraine.
