Kurakhove is under our control. Enemy rushing to outskirts of city and trying to break through defence - OSGT "Khortytsia"
The Ukrainian Defence Forces are currently in control of Kurakhove, but the enemy is trying to take the city under fire control.
This was stated on television by the spokesman for the "Khortytsia" operational and strategic grouping of troops, Nazar Voloshyn, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrinform.
"The enemy has recently been rushing to the outskirts of Kurakhove. They are trying to take it under fire control, as well as the logistics routes leading to the city. They are trying to break through the defences," Voloshyn said.
According to him, recently the enemy has been actively using artillery and guided aerial bombs in the Kurakhove sector, but the Defence Forces are holding back the enemy's offensive and inflicting significant losses in manpower and equipment on the Russian invaders.
Kurakhove is under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Over 350 occupiers were destroyed in killed and wounded in the last day, as well as two tanks, three motorcycles, a mortar launcher and several vehicles. Several more vehicles and an enemy motorcycle were damaged," the spokesman added.
He noted that 625 people who refused to be forced to evacuate remain in the city, but children and vulnerable people have long been evacuated.
According to DeepState, the enemy has advanced in Kurakhove.
