Russia lost 600,000 soldiers in war against Ukraine, it is unable to help Assad - Trump reacts to events in Syria

US President-elect Donald Trump said that Russia lost 600,000 soldiers in the war against Ukraine. Due to significant losses, the Kremlin cannot help the regime of dictator Bashar al-Assad in Syria.
Trump said this on his social network Truth Social, Bloomberg writes, Censor.NET reports.
The politician said that opposition fighters in Syria have completely captured numerous cities in a well-coordinated offensive and are now on the outskirts of Damascus, apparently preparing to take a very big step towards the ouster of Bashar al-Assad.
"Russia, which is so tied up in Ukraine and has lost more than 600,000 soldiers there, seems unable to stop this literal march through Syria, a country it has defended for years," the US president-elect said.
In addition, Trump emphasized that the United States should not interfere in the developing conflict in Syria.
"Syria is a mess, but it is not our friend, and the United States should have nothing to do with it. It is not our war. Let it unfold. Don't interfere," he said.
Trump also suggested that now the Russians, and possibly dictator Bashar al-Assad, will have to leave Syria, and "that may actually be the best thing that could happen to them."
"But now they, like perhaps Assad himself, are being pushed out, and that may be the best thing that can happen to them," the newly elected US president added.
