Trump did not support idea of meeting with Zelenskyy, but Macron convinced him - Axios

Trump, Macron and Zelenskyy meeting

In recent days, the French president has been working to convince US President-elect Donald Trump to hold a joint meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during his visit to Paris to open Notre Dame Cathedral.

This was reported by Axios, citing sources, Censor.NET reports.

One of the sources said that Trump initially did not want to hold the meeting, but changed his mind.

Another source familiar with the meeting said that the conversation between the three leaders lasted 45 minutes and was "good and fruitful." The source also said that the final decision to hold the trilateral meeting was made shortly before it.

As a reminder, on Saturday, December 7, a trilateral meeting between Zelenskyy, Trump, and Macron took place in Paris. It lasted more than 30 minutes.
