In some regions, two stages of blackouts are applied simultaneously - Ukrenergo

On Monday, 9 December, power cuts in Ukraine were planned to be implemented in a "light" mode, but the situation has changed. In some regions, the scope of consumption restriction measures has been changed.
According to Censor.NET, this was reported by NPC "Ukrenergo".
"Attention! Today, on 9 December, the scope of restrictions in some regions has been changed. From 10:00 a.m. in Kyiv, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, Odesa, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk and Kirovohrad regions, two stages of blackouts are being forced to be applied simultaneously," the statement said.
The company noted that as of 6:00 a.m. on 9 December, electricity consumption remained at a high level.
On 8 December, the daily maximum consumption was recorded in the evening. It was at the same level as the previous day, on Saturday, 7 December.
"The situation in the power system is changing, and accordingly, changes in the application of restrictive measures are possible. For the current schedule of outages in your region, please visit the website or official pages of the distribution system operator (oblenergo)," the company added.
They also said that the Ukrainian power system continues to recover after eleven massive Russian attacks, and there is a significant power shortage. Emergency repairs are ongoing at power facilities. Therefore, hourly power cuts for household consumers and power limitation schedules for industry and business are currently being enforced in all regions.
