Since beginning of full-scale invasion, three Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers have been killed as result of Russian chemical attacks on frontline - Support Forces

Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, three Ukrainian servicemen have died as a result of poisoning by chemicals used by Russians on the battlefield.
This was stated during a press conference by Artem Vlasiuk, head of the Environmental Safety and Civil Protection Department of the Radiation, Chemical, Biological Protection Directorate of the Armed Forces Support Command, "Interfax-Ukraine" reports, Censor.NET informs.
"Regarding the dead soldiers, we have, unfortunately, three fatalities so far. In three cases, we have doctors‘ reports stating that they died as a result of acute poisoning with an unknown chemical substance," the Support Forces representative said.
Vlasiuk noted that he would not disclose the names of the soldiers and units for security reasons.
He also said that since the beginning of the full-scale Russian aggression, more than 2,000 servicemen with various degrees of poisoning from unknown or known chemicals, including poisonous substances of irritant action, have been sent to medical institutions with symptoms of poisoning.
The Defence Forces stressed that Ukrainian soldiers do not use banned chemicals and that Ukraine complies with international law.
Earlier, the Southern Defence Forces said that Russian invaders are using ammunition with toxic substances at the front. The occupiers drop them from drones on the dugouts of Ukrainian defenders.
